I bought a 78 Trans Am a few weeks ago. I'm very excited about the car. It's a 40k mile #'s matching survivor. Black, WS6. I have the build sheet. I'm going to restore it. I have a few questions. Mine has the goth lettering on the drivers side of the front bumper, but not on the fenders. mines not an SE, I thought only the SE's had the goth lettering on them? I've got drum brakes. I thought WS6 was 4 wheel disc? Although I want it to remain as close to stock as possible, there are a couple changes I want to make that I don't think will devalue the car. One is the exaust. I'd like to get rid of the stock exhaust and go with a true duel exaust. I know I can have it made, but I'm wondering if there is an "off the shelf" distributor you would recommend that makes a great sounding system. I will keep the stock manifolds. No headers. I need to rebuild my q-jet. Thinking about doing it myself. If I decide not to, who would you recommend to rebuild it?
Thanks!
