Look for the vin on the engine (If its still the original engine)  That will verify the engine. and if I remember right.. the transmission and rear also have the vin.. but don't quote me.

Onlything that might still be orig is the rear.  Car has a 400 Chevy w/turbo 350 in it now.  Will check it out, thanks for all your help.

Np.. glad I could be of service... I know some things.. and am happy to help out when I can.  Good luck.. but it could be that GM just wasn't real consistent with the cowl tags.....
