My 77 Formula That I Had
« on: July 27, 2007, 01:41:43 PM »
Here are a couple pics. One with the Formula beside my buddies 81 T/A and the other of the before and after decal placement on my T/A. I have some more somewhere if anyone wants to see them, let me know, I just have to scan them.

I couldn't resist putting more up. Sorry for sounding egotistical but I loved them.

Hey!  Man that was a beautiful car!  Just curious, why did you get rid of a beautiful car like that?  That was a nice ride!  I love it!!!  That's my dream bird!  I just absolutely love the look of the old Formulas.  Thanks for posting them!!!

Well the Formula was nice but had a 305 2bll which I swapped for a 4 bolt main 4bll 350 Vett motor. It had a woodgrain dash that I swapped for a silver one. There was some rust but I fixed that. The muflers both exited just below the seats which caused for good vibrations and a nice sound when driving through an underpass. It was not posi and did not have the umph that my T/A did. So I sold it to a very happy kid that wanted it at all costs. It sold for $2900 back in 97?? era when even T/A's went for under $5000 in mint shape. I loved the hood though and the way the tires laid rubber. It was by far not in mint condition, just good. It had a 4spd Saginaw and a sunroof (I don't know if it was ordered that way or put on later).

Thanks I guess. Now I feel real bad about selling either. I may have found another though, I will keep you all posted.

Nice cars.... what is wrong with the rumble in the seats because of the exhaust... it makes for interesting ride .... especially with the ladies.  And by the way, posting more photos is not egotistical..... around here it is called "passion".  Besides... look at me, I have an entire website dedicated to my car.... how egotistical is that?!?!?

The exhaust was my idea and boy did it vibrate especially on the highway but it was loud. At least I never got pulled over. And since you guys all like photos, I will find more within my collection and post them. I am still trying to find my sorry T/A just before paint, with primer blotches everywhere.

Hmmm...lesee...created this great site for an incredible treasure trove of information...gave all us malcontents someplace to hang...keep it all running...and also make the time to help organize things like the Nationals...nope, not egotistical at all -- just pretty darn cool, I'd say.  8) 8) ;)

I second Rick's comment (except I'm not a malcontent :D :D...actually, it's just RICK ;)).
We are all thankful for Brett's huge ego ;D and love of his '78.
Great pix...keep 'em coming!!
