While We Have Been Waiting.....Garage
« on: July 31, 2008, 03:58:31 AM »
Hi Guys

Since we knew it was gonna be a while before our car got here,we thought  we better give her a home fit for a Trans Am....

Keeping a long story short..a few months ago i laid a concrete slab down the back of the property and put up one of those easy to build garden sheds. then moved a heap of junk out of the garage into it....wow look at all the room we got :D
Next step was the concrete floor..hated the sight of it...resealed it but still looked ugly ::)..thought about painting it but didnt really like the idea of that either..looked at some fancy floor covers but they were way outside the budget.......always had this idea in the empty space called my brain but finally decided to give it a go after i saw Tony doing his trailer.....

The delays to the car have allowed me to take my time to finish it off..which ive almost done but in the meantime what ya reckon so far?

I'm sure it looks awesome in person but looking at that pic makes my head hurt. 8)

One problem with the self stick tiles is that you have to be careful about turning the steering wheel while sitting still or even moving slowly cause it will tear up the tiles that the wheels are twisting on at the time. Looks cool though.

I hope your car turns out to be all you hoped it would be and more!

That looks cool!  Now the question is -- will you be able to KEEP all the little junk out of there? ??? :D :D ;)

Thanks for your comments guys :)

i did think about removing the tote bag from the photo but decided to see if anyone would notice  :D(it has now been removed)..only got it cos it was free from a local carshow

They are the self stick tiles but i threw some vinyl glue down before chucking them on so fingers crossed they might not move as easy
