John, What is the length of the foam insulation on the fuel line? Where does it start/end? is 77 & 78 the same, I have a 78. I obtained some of that AP/Armaflex mentioned in the other post.

I have not changed the foam on my fuel line yet. I want to keep the original one for now. The top start/stop points appeared to vary. I have seen them start on the top fairly even with the air cleaner base whereas mine started just before the bend.
Here is another detail photo of the tape used on my 1977 W72 400-cid with automatic transmission. The 4-speed engines used red and white tape. The blue tape is original the black tape is friction tape, which is the original type tape used at the factory.
