Topic: Motor mouts holes on frame for OLDS 455

I am trying to find out where to place my motor mounts (clamshel) on the actual frame to install my 455olds block.  There are several bolt holes and I have the lower contorl arms out now and can get in there to bolt the motor mounts up if I know what holes to use.  I am going to be using a chevy TH350 for trans.

I was also told they need to go in the same place as the 403 motor.  Any one know where that is?  Wonder if they just should go back in where they came from.  The car had a chevy 350 small block in it

Well, yes they would be the same as the 403, but I don't think they are the same as the SBC. Can you post up a pic of the holes in the frame? Then maybe someone can mark them for you if they remember or can look at their's.

I could mark them. I just did two different sets on a 79 and a 76.  I might have a couple of pics somewhere...

So it looks like the clam shells only will go back in one place.  Not sure what all the other holes are for??  So hopefully they are in the right place!
