I have driven it about 20 miles working the bugs out. We're still working on the Pypes system, which doesn't fit worth a damn. Hope to buff it out next week.

Here's a pic of the rear shelf with the new shoulder harness seat belts. I would've gotten more pictures but the lighting is terrible, and you can't see through the rear glass for the glare.

You got any pipes and mufflers on it now? Wondering how loud it'll be going to the muffler shop?

Thanks man! I got the idea from a forum, maybe this one, I can't remember.

I had a friend install the mufflers so that I could drive it to the muffler shop to finish the installation, since all I had on it were downpipes. In fact, I used Lord's Muffler over in Buford, which is about 12 miles from me. I bought the 2.5" Pypes mandrel system, but it didn't fit worth a rip. It has the x-pipe, and two Race Pro mufflers, and then the splitters. David Lord took the system, cut and welded as necessary and got a pretty nice fit. The Race Pro mufflers are supposed to be the quietest mufflers Pypes makes, but it is much more aggressive than what I expected.

I was taking it to be buffed tomorrow, but with the rain coming in Tuesday I probably won't get to. I'm ready to get it buffed, because I'm tired of looking at it without the spoiler and flares; it looks pitiful without them!

Ah, so you already got the exhaust finished up then. Interesting about the Race Pros. I also read they were supposed to be quieter than the Street Pros, which I thought was odd.
I used to get personalized tags for my old cars, like Fossil and Relic .

I got myself some new Thorton manifolds a couple weeks ago to go on my 403. I pulled the knocking 403 from my silver TA and got another used, good running 403 to go in it. I'm in the middle of cleaning the replacement up and replacing gaskets, and decided to put a new Performer cam, lifters, valve springs, and timing set in while I'm at it to give it a bit more pep.

Actually, not odd to me, race tracks often has a lower dB-limit than what is allowed on the street, atleast here in Sweden.
When you change cam and springs etc. I recommend you change the rocker pivots, I had a annoying valve tick after my cam swap, it came from worn rocker pivots. I put in steel ones instead of the aluminum.
