Lets limit them to second gen formulas and please...leave the T/A's out of here 8) 8) 8)

Post by: y88rick on August 05, 2010, 11:11:10 PM: there used to be a black one down the street from me with them solid cragar mag wheels (forget the style name) 15x7in front and 15x10 in the back. sat outside never moved until i asked if they wanted to sell it, they said no then poof gone never seen again.

Personally i hate formulas (74+), but ive always seen that car on TAC and just loved it

yeah it is said to be chopped up as only a parts car to put together some rotted out 73 t/a

I do love the pro touring look, like the guy's car from TAC, but I think I'm going to keep my original.

Post by: hada76 on August 10, 2010, 10:56:34 PM: dont want to hijack but had a question...what kind of customer would walk in to the dealer in the early 70s and order a formie w/ all the T/A goodies, motor,gauges,stick...why not just get a T/A? do you think the flares turned some away or shaker, insur, or was it a guy that just wanted the grunt but not the flash...just wonderin (BTW i love formies)

1 not too many people had them so it gave them an opportunity to be different
2 som didnt like the hood bird im guessing they didnt know you could buy them without?
3. they liked the 2 tone paint job better
4. they didnt like all the extra add ons like the wheel flares shaker etc made for more problems for maintaining a good look on the car damage wise.

these are just a few i have heard oh and lastly the cost
