He has such great feel, undoubtedly from being raised a serious blues man.

Don't forget Bonnie!

That vid with Ronnie Wood and Buddy Guy was OK... But for Christmas I got a copy of Muddy Water's "Folk Singer" on cd... Buddy Guy is on guitar and brother... he is F'ing BRINGIN' IT! so go pour yourself 3 fingers of Jack Black, then sit back and listen to this:

Great band, or super-group as it were. I forgot there was a video for this song. They should have really been more successful, IMO.
-
There was a live vidoe for the same song, and the whole band was diff except for Paul Rogers, maybe that's why.
-
Heres 3 guy's w/ the slide

^^^^^ Ha, @ 3:00 Jimmy asked "Is that right?" Like Jack White's going to say "No Jimmy Page, you messed up my song" lol.
-
I always like this one, then I think it was the movie Hoosiers brought it back.

all good ones, & lunatic fringe for sure. heres one i like, its only a short solo at about 2:00. i've always been a huge toto fan but only recently heard this song & i can't get it out of my head. very catchy & the main reason is the drummer. jeff porcaro was one of the greats & has some of the "grooviest" beats out there!

Not much slide in this song but a pretty good song for a newer band.

Yeah, I'm a huge Lukather fan myself. A supergroup in the pure sense. It's funny when I look back, I think David Paich looks like Zach Galifianakis!
-
Ricky Medlocke from Blackfoot has been playing in the late Allen Collins place for Skynyrd for quite a while. I've seen him maybe 4 times with Skynyrd. He also wrote a song that my brother-in-law recorded 4-5 years ago and got some radio airtime.
-
Yeah, I know. I would love to see Blackfoot tour again though.
-
That's cool about your bro-n-law Yeti. I like to hear about those types of connections.
There for a while back in the late 80s and early 90s, Medlocke was on the morning radio show for 96rock (ATL) as a guest DJ and I loved listening. He is quite the personality and funny as crap. In fact, His Skynyrd roots go back to the very early days when he dabbled with them and even played drums I think.
-
Yep- he was the original drummer before they got their chance and went on tour.
