1977 transam with a 455 olds mtr needs shaker base

This is a friends 77 transam he needs a shaker base to fit a 455 olds mtr the shaker is a 77  400  application ideas please thanks .

Same here shaker does not fit and I still need to put a 1 inch spacer between the carb and intake

Talk to Larry Navarro or Blockers Performance about a drop base. Otherwise the only other option I've heard of but never seen tried is to use an early stock Toronado 455 intake. They are lower than other stock 455 intakes. (The carb base damn near sits lower than the top of the intake ports.) But they don't perform well.

 we changed out the carb  did mods on the shaker and the air cleaner.HE says it looks good ,best we can do.This is not easy to fix so be patient with these issues transam dave.

Can you tell me what mods are necessary to make the shaker work . I have a 455 olds with an edelbrock intake and carb . I now have all the parts now I need to know how to make it fit . I read that the WFO will not work with the edelbrcok carb

Talk to Larry. Do you have the electric choke? I think he said it will work with them unless it has that.

NOT sure how to tackle that one myself, try all the different shakers till one fits. buicks are not in the t/s just the older firebirds.
