I would like to point out that this proves that the 77 SE's DID come with the black chrome exhaust tips.  I knew they did as my dad's had them, but they were long gone by the time somebody wanted to argue.  but you can clearly see them in the pics he has in the auction!!!!

It hasn't hit the reserve yet.  It's probably worth it but I wouldn't want it.  Who wants a car you can't drive?  A lot of the value is in the low mileage.

But I'm a contradiction because I don't drive the one I have.  So I guess it would be worth it to me to own it.

And that is the beauty of olding an older car that appreciates.  No matter how infrequently you drive it, the price gradually creeps up.

By contrast, my mid-life crisis Vette bought during the divorce to aggravate the STBX, it was bought for $29,600 .. sold it for $26,500 two & a half years and 9K miles later.  I saw that going DOWN in value every day and that really prayed on my mind as I drove it once or twice a week at most.  It always had to look good.  I did one oil change on that car so I basically leased a for a little over a $100 a month + an oil change.

The look on the ex's face during the divorce.  Priceless.
