OER Tic Tac blows fuse
« on: December 22, 2019, 09:22:39 PM »
Hey all,
Having a issue with a new Tic Tac from OER. The clock works fine but the tach keeps blowing the 1 amp inline fuse at the distributor. 77 had the inline fuse holder. The harness is new and checks out with my multimeter so no grounding issue there.
Any Ideas. I don't necessarily want to install a larger fuse for obvious reasons. Does anyone know if the OER unit
requires a larger fuse?  Thanks all, Shaun

I can't help in particular, but 78 onwards dropped the fuse altogether and jumpered directly off the 25A Heater/AC fuse. Likewise, wouldn't recommend trying a larger fuse to overcome without knowing more.
You may want to check that 1A is the correct fuse size for those models, the diagrams I checked that show it don't mention the size.

Thanks for the help. The owners manual does show a AGA 1 amp. I might just order a new harness for the 78 and skip this issue altogether. Will also contact Classis Industries Tech and ask them about the issue. Merry Christmas!,
