Motor mount inserts
« on: January 04, 2007, 08:10:45 PM »
One last annoying question...  the motor mount inserts on my 78 are in need of replacement... I've gone polyurethanes all around thus far, but Energy Suspension does not make a polyurethane motor mount insert for the Pontiac 400.  I've been told the inserts did not differ between the V8s offered that year, which means I can get away with using the inserts for the 305... which doesn't sound right.

So I guess the question is multi-part....  can I get away with using that part?  If not, does anybody know of a manufacturer offering a polyurethane insert or should I just order the rubber inserts from Ames?

Here's a link to the 305 insert for reference, since it comes with a picture:

Thanks again,

Gordon
