they used to be all over and now they are slim pickins around here. lets put it this way what used to be a parts car is now being considered for restore. there are a few around here but they seem to want way too much for them. some guys seem to think a rotted out shell with no motor trans and interior is worth $2500 for say a 79-81 ta. maybe they are now and im just not seeing it.

I know what you mean y88rick. My buddy and I found a 72 parts car for him and the old lady says she was $2,000 for it. We were polite and she just kept saying no. She thinks she has a rare car or something. Its a rusted out green/green interior, bench set colum shift, hunk of junk. Then there was this stingray that was actually sinking into the earth and the owner said its not for sale and never will be. Its his art now.  I only know of one T/A. Its in the next town over. Its a 79 black one that has set in this guys driveway for over for years from the first day I saw it. They will all just rust away.

yeah then become worthless and these people think they are worth a ton because of what it once was and what barret jackson says a restored one is worth. but they fail to realize it takes time and money to fix them up to that quality and regardless a former rotted out one will never be worth what a low mile never seen winter taken car off all its life and then restored and trailered car is worth too.
