I am working on my best friends 1980 trans am turbo and we have been going through the car and doing the basic maintenance items, I just recently did the plugs, wires and cap/rotor and new hei coil. When we were done it was idling high (1000 rpm) I checked the timing and it is bang on so I went looking for a vac leak (it needs new vac lines but none found) and I did find that the electric choke wire was broken off (not sure where it goes to) and the screws for the adjustment were loose. Does anyone have a pdf manual I can download or at least a schematic for me to work off of so I can get that wire connected properly and then work on adjusting the electric choke? When I hooked up power to it the idle went down to 650rpm but it caused stalling when in gear.
