67 326 auto trans Firebird.
« on: October 31, 2011, 10:37:59 AM »
I found this car a few weeks ago.   its a 67 326 bird.
very little rust. the floor, trunk, wheel wells and shock towers are not rusted at all.  a few spots on the body, thats it.
the engine was rebuilt 2 years ago (not ran yet) .  the frame and engine bay area was blasted and painted a year ago.

I'll be selling this car after I rebuild it. ( i cant keep them all )

Doug, thats looks like a really great foundation to start from. I'd love to find a rust free (basically) shell for cheap that I can sit on for a few years. Good luck and have you decided on colors/engine/etc? Stock? I'd say!

Ill use the 326 its built already.   it was Mayfair Maize (yellowish) color  color code Y  . ive seen it on pontiacs before.  it looks good, just not a color that will sell quick.    thinking the F or E color blue and black interior. adding a blk vinyl top.

Eroc. every piece is almost poped for them , and they fit (saying that lightly)  you'd prob give up a nad for what I got it for.  I got it sight unseen at the price.   there out there. more and more are coming out of garages so bills can be paid. ( sorry to say)

Tyrol is a beautiful color but I'd still stick with the Mayfair. Thats should be a beautiful car. You had enough time to look it over and put a price on it yet? If so, shoot me your number via PM and I'll call ya!

not yet , worked on Johns 50th all day today.  once I get it cleand out and brake it back apart I'll know for sure what I have.  but from crawling around under it I see 0 rust.  the owner has had it in a semi heated building for over 25 years (never below freezing) its a under 70k mile bird.  you just dont find them like this any more up here.
