How do I determine whether I have an SE Trans Am? What should I look for to help identify? This is for 1980.

SE parts and paint can easily be changed over the years...the only way to know for sure is by the car's buildsheet or by ordering the PHS documents for it.

I know the original owner and the car has never been painted or modified. I will look for the buildsheet tomorrow. What should I look for there? It does have the Gold Instrument panel and shifter surround. Any other items that I should see?

If you find the buildsheet, you'll be looking for "Y84" (this is the RPO code for a "special edition")

Is there an option code there that signifies the gold instrument panel and shifter surround?

Those items have probably been added at some point over the years as they only come on SE cars

What exactly is the WV6 Gold Graphic?  Bird and names only?

From Hoghead's site:

"In 1980, they began coding bird colors using separate RPO codes"

I can guarantee they were on the car when new. They original owner is a family member that bought the car new. She had nothing added to the car except, Ziebarting, and seat covers and floormats. This car is 100% stock.

Another thing I found on the cowl tag is a "TA2" and can't find an explanation on what that means.
