Hey prettybird81...
« on: April 15, 2007, 10:56:34 PM »
I thought you might get a kick out of this.

I found this photo while going through an album of my dad's old '81 TTA almost exactly like your car.

Ironic it is almost exactly the same car as yours and taken at a very similar angle!  8) 8)

I also just happened to notice, both pictures have the drivers side window down but not the passenger side...

I wish he kept that car, but unfortunately he said it was one of his least favorites (301T plauged with reliability issues) and he didn't own it for more than 2 years. :(

If I recall, Jeri can trace her's about 3-4 owners back to the original owner; I'm thinking it came from the SW...but don't quote me on that.

But I thought the same thing...that would be too cool.

You never know when it comes to that stuff. I was told that my T/A was once owned by a guy that was a Senior in high school when I was a Freshman. He supposedly owned the car during his last few years in school, so it would have been on the lot while I was at school. Of course we can't prove any of that, since it's just rumor. I would hate to see how many people owned my T/A before me. I do know that the guy I bought it from got it from a used car lot in Hannibal, Mo. He was told it had been an Illinois car all of it's life until the Mo. guy bought and then traded it.

I really doubt it's the same car.

Unless Jeri's car was ever in Texas, I can't picture it. I'm sure there were more than 2 cars made exactly like these.

Heres a few more pics:

Here she is with my dad's other cars, '78 T/A, '76 Formula, and of course the '81 TTA.

While it would be awesome to see its the same car, I don't believe it is.

Jeri, do you know if the original 301T has ever been replaced on your car? I know the one in my dads was replaced within 2,500 miles on the car.
