77-78 Front Bumper to fit 79-81 Bolt-on?
« on: November 21, 2007, 08:35:41 AM »
Like the title said, does the 77-78 front bumper will bolt right up to the 79-81?
Is there something needed or to do??

Besides the actual bumper itself you'll need:

Headlight panel - fiberglass backer
Bumper brackets - connect the bumper beam to the frame rails. You'll need all (4) pieces - two straight and two diagonals
Brace - connects to the center of the headlight panel and the vertical support on your core support
bumper beam - 77/78 are different from the 79 and up.
Foam/plastic insert - fits between the bumper and bumper beam
Turn signals & trim
Headlight surrounds & trim
Wiring harness (I believe its different due to the different turn signals but I could be wrong - has happened before)

After that it bolts right up to your 79 and up fenders & hood - no need to change those.
