Here's a funny electrical problem
« on: September 16, 2007, 11:59:45 PM »
I searched but didnt find anything, my passenger side taillight has no blinker or brake but the normal driving light is fine now if I mess around with the wiring near the fuse box I can get the blinker + brake light to work?
Now heres the catch once they are working my power windows stop working.......

Anyone got an idea?

Check for a bad/corroded/loose ground. These cars are notorious for electrical ground issues.

Sounds like you've got bad connections at the fuse box.

Here is the funny answer to the funny problem......

When you want to stop or use your turn signal, jiggle the wires near the fuse box....... when you need to roll up or down your windows, jiggle it again.

For the honest answer, yes you do have something gojng on there and it might be in more than one location.  If the problem was at the fuse box, then both brake lights or blinkers would be doing the same thing and not just the passenger side.  So, it sounds like it could also be the wiring leading up to the steering column.
