I already bought the engine harness from M&H, as a lot of you recommended, factory style and it comes with all of the connectors too.  I also bought the Tach harness and yes, there's a Tach harness :)  I'll figure out something for the ground strap and I've got a great pic of the redundent (spelling?) transmission ground too that I'll be adding.  Boy, what a hacked up car.

Really, that's the norm after all these years.  People start pulling and setting engines, and that electrical stuff seems so superfulous when it's time to crank 'er over for the first time.  But it's all important or it wouldn't have been there in the first place -- GM didn't waste nickels on extra copper wires in production cars (as is attested by the horrific gen 2 power window circuit design).  You'll sleep a lot better when it's all ironed out. ;)
