1979 Trans am horn contact. HELP!
« on: August 08, 2015, 09:01:48 PM »
Hey, i have a 79 t/a and the bubba who owned the car before me took apart the steering column and left out all the parts that make the horn work. everything is missing from the wire that gives the horn assembly energy. insight would be much appreciated. i know that the cancelling cam is missing and the contact pin and spring but there seems to be one more part missing that rides on the cancelling cam and touches the wire. any help???? thanks in advance

Do a search online for rebuilding the steering column for 79-81 models, should show clear steps of the top end too.
Is it a tilt-column? Does it need a rebuild again?
