Worked on the Y88 today
« on: March 17, 2012, 06:19:05 PM »
So with it being 70+ degrees out (who'd thunk that for mid March in Western New York?) I finally got to do some work on the Y88. The car was originally ordered with color matching seatbelts but the set that came with the car looked like a dog chewed through them. As an interim step I bought a set of black seatbelts and have used them for a while but the car always looked wrong. So I bought a set Russ (Lomileta) had and finally got them installed.

Now it shows that my seats REALLY need to be redone :( Ohh well, at least one project crossed off the list!

Has anyone ever found a correct lombardy set of covers yet?

Dunno. I'm going with the 79 hobnail as I like the pattern better. I'm not a fan of the lombardy cloth.

lombardy cloth is simply the best seat cover for a ta.  i have the repop in mine which
looks nice and feels good and looks new, but the texture of the original lombardy
blows it away.

what is that roll worth burd, i am not looking to buy it just curious.  i would never
pay a fortune to have my seats professionally re done in lombardy cloth then
spill my mountain dew all over em.

hobnail in a 78, anybody have a pic of that, not sure how that will look, although
i like hobnail, unless it is worn.

You better look like the last post in the coffee shop if you spill on the lombardy, I bought that for $650 ten years ago, never seen another.
