Well, here's a pick of mine pretty soon after I bought it. This was after all the black paint fell off. They never sanded the primer, so all the paint peeled off, kind of like a bad sunburn. Add that to the 14" American Racing rims, and you've got quite a ride. No mufflers either, and timing was at a healthy 3 degrees before TDC. It sat for four years on the side of the road down in the "south side". I rescued it for a sum of $350, refinished a spare set of rims dad had myself, tuned up the engine, headers, Performer intake, carb rebuild, dual exhaust (with mufflers this time), and it now serves daily driver duty for me at High School. When the weather warms up I will take some after pictures of it.

p.s., the rims are for sale if anyone's interested.

Yeah, every time I wash it more paint just comes off, lol. It was really addicting once I started peeling, just like peeling a sunburn. It was really cool on the flat parts, the whole hood came off in one sheet of paint. I'm probably going to shoot it Satin Primer Black this spring before I leave for the Academy. I'm certain they'll keep me busy for a while up there, but eventually I would like to restore it. I did all the work on the white chrysler myself, starting when I was about 12. I painted it last winter out in the shop, did all the prep work and shot it too. So, I'll be sure to post some more on it later once I get the TA cleaned up.

There we go, I consider this a little redneck. Third gen rims, 3 different kinds AND sizes of tires, 4 different color interior(blue, black, red, silver a little), red hood, one T/A fender, one Esprit fender, spray painted seats, cats used it for a litter box, only 2 headlights, weird seat covers, most wires cut under the dash, no lights work at all including brake lights and stuff... yeah the list goes on.

I don't know if this can be called a redneck car or not.  This is what was left of ab 81 firebird that I used for parts to restore my 78.

Nah, after I stripped it of the parts I needed, it went to the crusher.
I did save the build sheet though.  Not sure why, but I did.

Yeah the work is cut out, I'm still debating if I should sell it or not. Some people want $3k or so for it once I'm done with it. I saw the ultimate '77 Black and Gold hardtop T/A today about an hour ago. I would've given anything for that car. Which I might sacrifice my '79 for a '77 project.

Logikfive, do you have parts left off of the blue car that you are wanting to sell?  it is the same body style as mine and I'm needing a few small pieces.  PM me with any info.  Thanks!

Yeah, I kept everything savable off the car (even most of the dryrotted interior peices, not sure why I even bothered) and I don't even think I sold anything off that car. Anyway, PM me what you're looking for, I may be willing to help unless I need the part for my DKM T/A.

Yep, I made sure that I took everything I could off that one before sending it to the crusher.  The night before it left a guy called me wanting the rear end and the springs, so I sold them for $100.  The rear was not posi and had a ratio in the 2.xx range.  When the flat bed came the next day I had it resting on jack stands, so all he needed to do was back up underneath it, hook the chain and drag it up.  He gave me another $50 when I handed him the title.

I don't think that's regular pinstriping and decals. It looks like to be actual chrome molding like on 50's and 60's vehicles. Hahahaha
