Wow, that really turned out nice. make me wanna go SMACK my Dad in the back of the head. You better get your Pop a nice father's Day present.
-
LoOking sharp!
I wonder where those black marks on the pavement came from? :D
-
lol yeah im sure you can make a good guess where they came from :D
-
Looks real nice......
One more thing to make the clone complete is change out the tail lights to the smoked version of them.
-
yea we have to find a set on ebay that isnt cracked and looks good.. have had trouble finding a set
-
Couple other small details. Pull the head light bezels out and spray them flat black. Should not be any chrome showing anywhere. Mask off and do your front and rear glass trim in flat black.Pull the lower grills and do them in semi gloss black. Nice looking car you got there!!

WOW....That looks REALLY nice. I can't wait to see pictures of it after the decals get put on. Your Dad did an excellent job on the fenders and hood. To me, it looks like it came from the factory as a Trans Am. You and your Dad should be very proud of the quality of work you guys did.

If you do choose to get the smoked tail lights, I'll be yours up in a heartbeat. I'm looking for good condition tail lights for mines..
-
yea we were going to get all the minor pieces off our 80 t/a that we have but since we are putting chrome with black body molding, the silver decal set, with silver snowflake rims, with the chrome tips we though everything would come together with chrome headlight bezels and chrome window moldings, so its not a perfect clone by any means, yea 79formula the tailights are in excellent condition, if we find a nice smoked set and put them on i will send you a message
-
Great, thank you!

You did a great job on that car. Please post a before and after sequence. One little thing, the faux intake on the shaker S/B flat black and would set the shaker off.
This is a fantasic transformation! All I can say is Wow!
Something else was really bugging me and I couldn't figure it out....till I remembered it doesn't yet have the decals. That's going to be one sharp bird when you're done.

That turned out COOL.
I like the looks of the red taillights on the red car.
-
Still will never be a TA :P .....but nice job . It does look good . You may need to sink the shaker about an inch and attach a string to it so you can "shake" it while you drive. :P
-
true...but it was fun
-
What do you mean, WAS fun?
It will never be really finished...
-
it was fun workin on it even it aint a ta

I like the looks of the red taillights on the red car.
I didn't even notice not having the Blacked-out taillights until it was mentioned. But the more I look at it, the more I also like the RED taillights. I think it gives the car a CLEANER Look.
It's a T/A in my book. Nice job guys. I'm looking foward to seeing the pictures of it after the decals are put on.
