Ouch.  Guess it could have been worse though.  I'm looking forward to another 2nd gen rounding around here.  As of now, I've only seen 2, and one is for sale ('79 Firebird).  The other, I have only seen once so it may have been just passing through ('79-80 Black Trans-Am).

Look at it this way, you found it before you were on the road to Nats with no tools to fix it.

I'm still taking short trips with mine until I get comfortable with longer trips. And that's after being on the road for 3 years.

no the #'s block is now in there for transport reasons. it was scarey putting it in there.

no actually with it just being a bare block it was rather easy. the fear was not catching it on the paint anywhere. 4 guys placed it in the trunk to assure that wouldnt happen.

Wow thats sucks,sorry about the motor hopefully you can get it on the road soon.Looks like the left side had a bad exhaust leak.

yea the cross over pipe wouldnt seal i just replaced it  right before i put plates on it though
