Was Given a New Bird Today.
« on: July 27, 2010, 07:02:33 PM »
Some of you may remember me from the car in my Sig I call Ole'Rusty, its in pretty rough shape and with my wife and myself looking for a new Larger Home for our Family I have not been able to tear the car down like it needs. I had seen this  other car in my home town and my mother seen the car comming back from a Doctor vist and said she thought of me. Yesterday I get a call from her husband and guess what? He bought this car for me. He said I needed one I could drive. It needs work to but with a little TLC I can have me a nice driver. I drove it home today 80 miles in the blistering heat, with out AC of coarse it was taken out. lol I must put that back in some time later. It has a hole in the drivers floor board. The rest of the car seems in Excellent Shape Tail pan has no rust under side of the cars rearend seems like it was redone. I am shocked the drivers floor board has a hole but I can patch that in a weekend. The cars Vin and Shaker point to a 403, but I was unable to find the numbers I read about on Hitmans page. I did see a 6 but could not make out the first part of that number set on the intake just behind the Oil filler. It has the wrong carb on it for sure. I thought I would share it with the rest of the gang here. I am going to wash the car up some while I sill have some sunlight!

I must figure out the picture posting here. I got many picture today. Do I Need to go with photobucket and link them?

its def a 403.  you can quickly tell the difference between the 400 and 403 because the 403 has that vertical pipe sticking up in the front part of the motor.  its the oil fill tube.  where a 400 the oil fill cap is located on the drivers side valve cover.  congrats though thats a great lookin car and you got it for free.  thats sweet.

Hey Thanks guys! I need to make a new Sig now.

Someone slammed the hood on the Shaker, I must get that fixed.

This is probally the reason of the Hood and Shaker Damage.

Hope this works ;D
It worked not like I wanted but I'm getting there.
