I'm Dan, from Tacoma, Washington.  I've been a Pontiac fan since I bought my first LeMans 35 years ago.  Since then I've had 3 GTOs, a Firebird Formula, and my latest, a 76 Trans Am.

Hey there Dan, nice TA, very nice color, not that I'm biased to red or anything.  Welcome to the site, glad to have you aboard.  Let us know if there's anything we can do for ya.

How about letting us know a little more about that car of yours?  When did you get or how long have you had it?  Have you done anything to it?  Plan on doing anything to it?  Those kinds of things.

hello, my name is ben and i am new to the site, i bought a 76 black and gold trans am and am making a super car out of it, by doing something completely different and putting a motor out of a 94 toyota supra, its gonna be hella fast since its turbocharged, im debating converting it to front wheel drive or modifying it to rear wheel drive, the car came with a 454 pontiac big block so without all that weight its going to make this car really fast, i also plan on modifying the body with suicide lambo doors and the usual tvs in the headrests type thing in the interior...this site looks very informative and i hope to get some help from you guys.

Hey there haulassta, welcome to the site.  Sure would like to see some pics of that car when you get a chance.

As far the engine... that 455 will give you more power and move that car much better than that supra engine.  That's a lot of steel and you need the torque from that 455 to move it around.  And the 455 will last a lot longer too when ragging on it.  Just my .02, again, welcome to the site.

Hi, My name is Garth. I live in Weyburn, Saskatchewan, Canada. I have a 1977 SE Trans Am. I bought it from my brother who bought it new from the local Pontiac dealer. He did not have any desire anymore to drive the car and so I bought it from him. It has the Hurst T-tops, Pontiac 400 w72 engine and a T350 tranny. It does need new paint and then will need new decals. I work at the GM dealership in town as a Technician. I am looking forward to becoming a member in this forum.

Garth, Welcome to the Forum, nice to hear from our Canadian brothers who share the passion for the Trans Am.  Let us know how we could help.

Unfortunately I don't get to see IP addresses so I'm in the dark.  It's not very nice to spoof a new user especially when I'm trying to geniunely make people feel welcome.
