I would try to locate the original motor and if not I would get it cheaper because it ain't worth s#^* with out the original and will never get the prices the other 10ths are pulling even if the car was restored

the big problem about the olds motors is they didnt just have a vin number on them they had a sticker so aside from being a 403 produced in 79 how do you prove it is or is not the right motor?

i never have found a vin on a 403 only a sticker with it on the oil fill tube and that was on 2 of the ones i have had in the past.
