Topic: Interior trim/seats for 1970-74 models. Will newer model parts swap?

I need a complete interior for my '73.  Will all of the 2nd gen interiors work in a 70-74 model?  I know that the upper rear side panels by the back window will be different, but is everything else the same?  What about the seats are the frames, bases, backs all the same just different foam and upholstery?

I forgot to ask.  What about Camaro parts?  Are any of those panels the same?  I think the floor console is the same.  What about the steering column and brake pedals?

Can't answer you on the interior parts question as I think the seat frames are the same but the seat foam are different but I have no first hand knowledge to base that off.


As for the camaro parts I can answer that one. Floor console is different - at least from the 78 I looked at and compared to my Y88. Steering column would interchange as would the brake pedals.

the seat brackets are completely different, as are some of the seats themselves, the frames are made for the pre catted floor, the center consoles will fit, but there is a difference, which i think the camaros had the map pocket molded into it and not a seperate plastic piece......all the interior panels are the same except as mentioned the sail panels for the wrap around window
