almost done
« on: July 26, 2011, 09:27:49 PM »
Well after storing my 81 ta since around 1995 and a 4 year plus restoration I'm finally getting her back. I posted a few pics a while ago and will post a bunch more when I get it back. What I can say that its going to be a bad a** car, Traded the 301 turbo in for a 455, dumped the 15's and put a nice set of 17'' american racing vn701's on it. The rest of the car is basically stock except I left the pinstripes and body molding off, and I got rid of the antenna in the quarter panel, ( going with sirrius radio only ). I also decided to paint it mercedes black instead of regular black. I know the mods decrease the value of the car but I've owned this car since high school and never plan on selling it. I will be happy to join all of you who actually drive your cars instead of talking about it which is what I've been doing for a long time.

Welcome to the club.  I would love to see the photos.  Hang onto that 301 turbo motor.  you never know if you will want to restore it  and those are hard to come by

The 301 was gone a long time ago , to be honest that motor was a lot of headaches and was a little on the slow side, actually a lot on the slow side. Its due back in mid august, I will need some help when I post the pics because I'm not to computer savy, last time it took me over an hour to post a few bad pics.

get yourself a photo bucket account for free and pick the last option under your pic and copy and paste in your description, it's pretty easy. can't wait to see them.
