Models
« on: January 01, 2011, 06:33:00 PM »
I have the urge to build some models again so I finally dug out some of my treasures I have from back in the day.  They're worth more if not assembled, but most of these were given to me by family members, so they have sentimental value and I don't plan to sell them.

1/8th scale.

They solved the sagging top of the box problem which caused a lot of the models to crack. Nice, still in the plastic...

Nice collection. That 1/8th scale TA is awesome. I've always wanted one but never willing to let go of the cash. Enjoy them.

I think the 1/8 scale models when I bought them new 1980 sold for $12.00. I recently saw a 1/8 Turbo T/A on ebay with a price of $328.00 :o

Thanks for the kind words Mike.  :)

But I'm certain that I do not have as many talents as my male ego says I do. LOL ;D :D

you know what sucks is my godfather gave me like 10 old classic Trans am Models he had been collecting.  The problem was he gave them to me when i was little and didn't respect them for what they were, so i just half a$$ built them and wish i had them now to build.

I used to live for building models when I was a kid.  I tried to pick it back up last year, but as mentioned just not into it anymore.  I would rather be building the real thing.

Wow that 1/8th scale Turbo T/A would be just awesome!
For rhe love of God why can't thet make cool stuff like that anymore??  I think it would be so wicked if they made them again but gave you the option to design it as you like . Give you the parts in one kit to do anything from 76 up to 81 whether its a turbo ,formy or T/A .Then another couple of kits to do the earlier years  . I'd probably spend a grand building all sorts of T/A's ,and have a great time doing it .
The 1/8th scale is the best imo ,and I would love to built a replica of the Marty!

Well if I win the lotto I am going to have all the tooling done to make this a reality .
