Main AC duct seal

Does anyone have a picture or know what type of material was used to seal the main ac duct behind the glovebox to the ac unit? I have roughly an inch gap from the duct to the unit.

If you have an inch gap then it's not fitted correctly. The original was a spongy rubber that compressed but wouldn't do a thing in your case, only meant to make it more airtight.

Factory was a 1+ strip of foam, I did mine. Bought the last one from year one. Get a thicker strip of foam and let it compress to your 1". I used GM parts. You will have to contact cement it on. Nothing fancy.
