so i just had the weirdest experience.....changed out some rocker arms, went to start the motor, and it chugged for a minute, then ran ok....shut it off and adjusted the arms again cuz a couple of them were a little loose....started the motor again and it chugged and went pop pop bang !!!! like a loud bang. enough to scare the s#^* outta me and i shut it off immediatly. so i got worried and pulled her all apart last night and found that 2 of my lifters had basically exploded.
one lifter wasn't even in the lifter bore and the other had a push rod sitting 3/4 inside of the lifter. and i bent the 2 corresponding push rods.
has anyone ever had anything like this happen?
i can't see why this would happen from just changing some rocker arms, so i'm thinking its a weird coincidence
any input would be great, never had this happen before
