Hi,
My car had been sitting for many years and even though it ran ok, I decided to rebuild the carb. My FIL and myself rebuilt the Q-jet carb (Cliff's carb kit). After the rebuild, the car would not run. No gas is getting to the carb. If I spray the carb with 'fluid starter' it starts and then dies (confirm no gas to carb).
My question is, what should I pay attention to when I open up the carb once again?
I rented a fuel gauge from an auto parts store and the only adapter that fits has a connection for the gauge, for the fuel line, and an extra 'connection' that is not needed (threaded side; see photos). I assume I can purchase a solid cap to plug up this threaded side.
