"4 Wheel disk" when was it used?
« on: March 17, 2008, 02:11:12 PM »
I was goofing around and decided to take off the stickers on my door handles.  This was an after market "PONTIAC" sticker that was kind of thick and fit in the edges of the outsode door handle.  When I took it off I found the "4 wheel disk" decal.  Was that on all 79 4 wheel disk cars or just certain cars such as the TATA...?

Supposed to be on all 4 wheel disk cars.
1979-1981.
decals would be different colors to match the car.

That's probably because they'd peel up if exposed to the weather, so people just pulled them off.  If it got crummy looking, 9 times out of 10 (or more) that's what people do rather than shell out a little $ to replace them.

Actually, I don't think that decal was used on the TATA. I know mine never had it.

The decals on the door handles was an option.  If you order D92, you got the decals on the handles.
