Tazz -- I'm glad you found yours.  Mine has never been found -- and I've had the car since it was new. :?  :(

Comparing your '81 T/A build sheet to my '81 T/A build sheet I see that your Norwood buillt car has more options than my Van Nuys built car. Since your car went to Canada, it came with the 305 Chevy and auto trans. In the US if you orderd the 305 Chevy, it ONLY came with the 4 speed trans. According to my 1981 Pontiac brochure, your car came with the code 20 Bright Blue Metallic paint.

Oh yeah, Tazz, I've had the entire rear seat out of the car (cushions + back) and I've fished around under the front seats (including checking the seat bottoms) -- NADA!  Nothing.  I believe that it was probably found and discarded at the dealership when they were prepping it for delivery.  I haven't gotten to the top of the fuel tank and I haven't pulled the carpet out, so it's always *possible* it's hidden there -- somewhere... :?  :?  :(

John swapped that in before he found TAC and 78TA.com, so he can plead ignorance of motive in his actions...    8)

Don't give up yet...I had one under the rear seat and one on the gas tank. Get that car down off the fancy lift and tear into something....you have too much free time  ..."create" a project   :D

I have heard of other possible locations under the package tray or glove box area.

Ahhhh -- it takes time and finesse to do that without giving the signal "I'm LOOKING for stuff to do".  If that happens, I'll be lucky to ever even SEE the inside of that car again...

No shortage of stuff OTHER people want done around here... 8)
