I bought this sticker from NPD and was cleaning under the hood the other day and just wiping this sticker with a dry rag- no degreaser on it, a lot of the print wiped off.  I would not buy this sticker from NPD!!!!  I don't know if the other online stores use the same sticker- with similar results...

What you can do to protect your stickers from problems like that in the future is the following:

Get a can of gloss clear (or whatever you prefer - they have Dull and Satin finishes as well) and lightly dust the sticker several times before installing it. This will seal the ink in and you'll never know the difference.

I just rubbed hard on the one in the pic above, it doesn't wipe off. The guy that own phoenix graphics wanted one when they first came ouy to do himself, so prob more than one company printing them. The Osborne one has GM resto parts on the back.

Yes, I know there were a few guys doing them at home at one point. I bought one as it wasn't available retail at the time with the correct code. I didn't know he was printing them himself on sticker paper, quality was rubbish, the size was out, text was not even centrally located and not nearly as cheap as the current stickers. And to top it off it wasn't even the correct code that turned up.

Sounds like you also have a low- quality, dodgy type not sealed or printed on ideal film and probably can't stand engine compartment heat either!
