Also to update a bit: havent been able to touch the car really. Been working on the house with my dad remodeling.  Hopefully Ill be able to start working on it next week and at lightning speed.  Car needs to be done by September first.  I also too a trip to Barnes and Nobel  and picked me up Cliff Ruggles bible and How to Build Max Performance Pontiacs.  Aslo bought a book on suspension engineering and diesel performance.

They don't make them for '78...the '80 is close enough though.

Have to pick me up one of those then. I'm a firm believer in reading the documentation before I start taking things apart..................Where can you find this?

I hate to sound so anal, but I haven't done this in a LONG time, and I want to do it right.........

So I have to have a plan before I proceede :)

Well the one from Hitman is a CD. I bought mine from Faxon www.faxonautolit.com and the reprinting is extremely good.  I haven't found a page that I cant fully read. I bought the rest of the Restoration CD's because it was way less expensive then buying actually books but I wanted the assembly manual at my side.

Ok finally got more work done, did some work on the inner fenders, engine is out, left front spring is also out.  Have pics of some of the engine removal but my dad was cursing up a storm so i didn't think it was a good idea to start taking pics and stop helping also due to the very dangerous nature of working with the springs I didn't have time for pics, those will be up tomorrow.  So here they are, enjoy.  And if anyone notices how these pictures are clearer and more detailed than others, its because these are cell phone pics, and no my cell phone was less than 100 bucks.  Pretty good eh?

What the fenders looked like before the grinder

And after attacking with the grinder

Thats one dirty motor

This dirty

More dirt

Trans

Numbers that idk what they mean

The reason why people say "who the fing hell put this together

Bell housing after I spent 2 days scrubbing and soaking it

Other random stuff:

The Shop

Yea! More cleaning
