Title: Light Switch
Post by: mrandig on September 15, 2010, 10:51:54 AM
Trying to track down electrical gremllins in the '79. Finally got the front harness sorted and everything tests great.

Now, moving to the inside, I've got a mellted connector at the dimmer switch, which I'm hoping was just because the front harness was jacked up.

Probing the light swiith connector, the white wire is grounded; isn't this supposed to tie into the courtesy/dome lights?

White is switched ground.  It does control the dome light.  Ground is broken until the switch completes the circuit.  There are three switches that control the dome light.  One for each door and the third is the headlight switch.
