WANTED 1979 TATA Project
« on: May 15, 2012, 10:06:52 AM »
Looking for a 1979 TATA project car, preferably close to the central Kentucky area.  Prefer automatic.

Really want to locate TATA #167070, but I've about given up believing she still exists, so I'm looking for a substitute.

Probably mine, that's the way my luck has run as of late!  This is probably all that's left of her...

Do a search on the vin#,or post it on here we can check allthe ones in florida.

The VIN is  2X87K9N167070  I was the original owner and I'm trying to see if the car is a survivor and if so, where it may be.

The only piece of the puzzle I currently have is the car was registered to a female in Cincinnati, OH from 1997 to 1999 and then the trail runs cold.  I located the Ohio owner, but she was, let's just say, unwilling to discuss whether she owned such a car or not.

I actually took delivery of the car 33 years ago last week, May 17, 1979 from Charlie Sturgill Pontiac, Lexington, KY.

Sold the car a couple years later (a move I seriously regret now) back to Charlie Sturgill Pontiac for another car.

I've been searching for a couple years now and have just about give up, either it's junked/salvaged, sold outside the US or in the Ohio river!

Thanks for offering to help look for her.

How bad is the TATA you picked up?  It may be worth a few g's with an original motor.
