Could this be the problem?? Can you call us??
« on: March 20, 2010, 01:12:37 PM »
Frank found the tranny coolant lines touching the headers.

Being the fluid was not being cooled properly, because it was constantly being heated by the headers, do you think THIS would cause the slippage in the tranny?

If you can..............call Frank's cell or text him @ 704-860-4463
Leave a message, because if he doesn't recognize the number, he will not pick up.

ill write him, but it can be some of the problem, the only way to fully tell with that is to get it off the headers, its bad for it anyways, and then take it out for a spin.....

try running new lines away from them and see what happens. it will only be a $10 trial and error to find out if it is over heating it.

also does the car have an additional trans cooler?

maybe they should add a trans cooler if they dont have one too just incase them headers are allowing too much heat on them?

Glad you found the problem....sounded like a heat issue to me...hope it stays fixed.
you could always wrap the lines with insulating tape for added protection...
