78 Trans Am / W72 motor rebuild
« on: October 01, 2014, 04:31:56 PM »
After much planning, saving and waiting i finally have my 1978 Trans Am motor back from the machine shop and back in the car..
All except putting the electric choke on the carb and having the carb re-built...

The machine shop estimated in the area of 400hp.!!  Lots of head work and machine work was performed..

I stepped on my nuts to pay for this  -  but, it was worth every penny...

About time to freshen mine up as well. Ballpark figure, what kind of money do you have in the build?

Hi Treys79...
sorry for the late reply.. i have been in hybernation this winter..
i have right at $6k into the parts, machine work / build.  thats not including the Ram Air exhaust & manifold headers and all the other little odds and ends...  more like $8k if i added up everything..

hope that helps.

Looks great Daniel, now would be a great time to detail that brake booster & master cylinder. ;)
