Thank you for the warm welcome, guys.

Rick, I’d be happy to post pics of my old T/A…but I fear that the images may offend certain viewers.  In SA, it’s rare to find a T/A that still has its original motor and that hasn’t been resprayed 4 to 5 times (4 to 5 different colours btw).  Mine had seats from a Volkswagen in it.  Needless to say she was in pretty bad shape.  I had grand dreams of restoring her to her former glory.  But with so many original parts missing, my mission was doomed from the very beginning.  Next time I’ll start with a far more original car.

She sounded pretty awesome though.  The previous owner had relieved her of all forms of silencing equipment.  She was pretty dang loud.  I recall blasting it past the local pub once.  Can still remember hear the sound of men cheering as I flew past in my T/A.  In a world filled with fuel efficient Euro-boxes, nothing sounds better than someone punching it in a big American V8.

That's OK Andy -- everybody here has project cars, most are far from perfect, and they're all a work in progress.  Heck, I even had a set of cast wheels from a third generation TA on mine for a while (actually, quite a while).  Go ahead and post up yours for old time's sake! :) :)
