Hey all.  I am new to the forum.  My name is Kurt and I am from Painesville, OH.  I bought a 79 black TA Y84 with matching numbers right before christmas.   It needs some minor work other than that it is in really good shape.  I had been looking for black 79 for awhile and came across this one.  I wanted one for the year I was born.  I am sure I will see some of the locals at the car shows.

I wish it were dew - it needs paint BAD.  I spent 3 hours today trying to re-oxidise it and polish it up so I can go a year without painting it (at least til winter) - but its pretty rough up top - needs new decals too - they are peeling.  The interior needs help as well - but it runs solid and chicks dig it.

Hi, I'm new here.    check out my pics!    ;)   http://www.aaron77mco.20megsfree.com/photo.html

My name's Aaron, I live in Ames, IA.  I'm the proud 2nd owner of a '79 TA with 77k miles.  She's not fast, but she's got the looks!  Someday I'd like to hop her up a little..     ;D   I'd like to swap out the 403 with a 400 or 455 and put in a new tranny and rear gear.  The current gear is crazy high.  I can drive 80 mph and only have 2400 or so on the tach...
