well if you get a pullout 4spd conversion out of a 2nd gen, then its basically a bolt in swap, aside from cutting the floor for the shifter hump, if you are doing a 5spd conversion or 6spd, it can either be purchased in a kit form, or you can part it together.... basically anything between the motor and rear will be switched out, flexplate will be swapped for a manual trans flywheel, carb will have to be either tuned, or tweaked a little for the lower idle.... center console will need to be swapped for the manual console. not a big deal, can be done in a fast paced busy weekend.....
