where can I find Emission control tag for a 49 states car

I am restoring a 1979 trans am with a 403 engine and I need the Vehicle Emission Control Information sticker that states it is a 49 states car.  Also how can I find out if this VIN# makes it a california car, the VIN number is 2w87K9l163404.  Is there someplace I can go on the web to find out which carb this car is suppose to have. Any help will be helpful.

The only way to find out if your car was a 49 state car or a CA car is to get the PHS.  The VINs, otherwise, didn't have that information encoded into them.

There are companies that make repo stickers, once you know what you need.  There are also sites that can steer you to the correct carb # for your engine, again after you establish what it was.  Several people here have that information at their fingertips but I don't -- but I know it's out there. ;)
