Topic: 17 x 9" year one rims

Hello.
I'm new to the forum.  I own a 1977 Firebird Formula.  I have modified it to look like a trans Am.  Wheel flares, shaker hood, etc.  I'm thinking about putting on the year one 17 x 9" gold snowflake rims.  I know year one states they will fit the trans Am.  I wasn't sure if the Formula was different or not.
1.  Will they fit the Formula?
2.  If they do fit.  What size tires do you recommend?

All the same, different decals.
It's all backwards, the Firebirds all live in a Trans Am world and to sellers that's what they all are. You don't get every Camaro owner flooded with Z28 specific shops and parts, it's simply a model in the range.
