1980 base firebird value
« on: August 12, 2013, 11:54:11 AM »
Long story short...my parents are having some work done at their house and one of the workers spotted BOTH of my cars sitting tarped and inquired on them. Only car I would consider parting with is the 80 firebird. Guy's looking for a TA (which I know its not and would not advertise it as such) - just a body is what he's looking for.

I know what I paid for the car originally without any drivetrain. Almost pristine interior, a couple minor rust spots - 2"x2" spot on the trunk floor, a spot on the firewall, entire cowl needs replacing, and possibly the A pillars. Clear title, no motor or tranny or driveshaft. Originally cruise equipped car - stalk is still there, no cruise parts. Automatic with console shifter in good shape. Tires would be good enough to roll it onto a trailer.

Would I be out of line asking $800 as a Firebird and add in another $500 if he wanted the shaker hood & TA fenders for a clone?? Any thoughts on a 70-73 400 block (needs machine work) IF he's interested in that as well??

If this guy isn't interested, I'm holding onto everything I have for the clone project I have in mind.
