Ok, so Frank knows how to do the black part on the grilles, but what about the chrome part?

Mine is in need of TLC!!

those unfortunately need to either be sent off to a chromer that can do work on plastic, or use a chrome silver paint for the closest appearance......most of the time i see them done with paint or just new ones bought.....

They use a process known as vacuum metalizing...expect to pay big $$ if you go this route.

Well, if I send them out and they are going to cost me BIG $$, then forget it for now.

Do you think any body shop can do it?  I guess call and find out on my own, huh?  lol

I have a chrome shop close to me. Actually brought him a grill to look at. He said it would be cheaper to buy reproductions than what he would charge. He uses a spray method to chrome plastic, looks nice but not so much when you place it next to a piece of chrome metal.

You've got to email Brett for a price....unless that particular part is listed in his "store".

I found this stuff online:

http://alsacorp.com/chrome.htm?gclid=COiU6tz2qaACFSJ25QodW1K7ag

http://alsacorp.com/products/mirrachrome/mirra_price.htm

It isn't cheap by any stretch of the imagination. Looks pretty good to me.

**I have not used this paint so I cannot comment on the actual results of using this product.

Here's another option that doesn't seem too unreasonable...

http://www.caswellplating.com/vht/duplicolor_gold-chrome.html

**Again, haven't used it.
